Mt. Victory Road Race Presented by Southern Petroleum

This is a really great race if anyone is thinking of trying it out next year. It is a flag pole course with one biggish climb. The field stayed together until the 2nd time up the climb. Ended up with a gap with a guy from UK, we weren't sure if we should go until another guy joined. We worked together until the sprint. I got surprised in the sprint by a guy I didn't think had stayed glued up.

These TN & KY boys bring it! Field of 13 looks like I'm lined up for a 1/2 race. My attacks find the pack sipping water as a response and looking at me funny. Fun course with a nasty climb with a switchback and rollers on top and a 52mph descent with a sweeping turn at the bottom. Whittled down to 8 on last lap, blows up on the hill. 3 organize and nail it at the top. I scooped up two to form a chase pack but they were no help so I went alone to chase. 9 miles of ghosts disappearing around corners. no cigar!
